Having recently moved to Los Angeles from Santa Barbara, I was so excited when Stephanie & Austin asked to do their engagement session at the Venice Canals, Abbot Kinney Blvd., Venice Beach, and by the iconic Venice sign–my first time photographing in LA! When I arrived at the Venice Canals, Austin and Stephanie were dressed to impress and ready to roll!
We snuck on to one of the docks to capture sweet, romantic photographs.
While driving around looking for the perfect spot (and parking, ha!), we came across this cool door and brick wall. Stephanie & Austin had no problem getting their laugh and kissing on! I absolutely adore Stephanie’s genuine, care-free laugh and smile!
Next came Venice Beach photos. I had hoped for a gorgeous and colorful sunset with the overcast, but it seemed as though nature didn’t want to coop
As we headed back, I noticed out of the corner of my eye another photographer was quickly snapping away. I turned to see what she was photographing, and was ecstatic to see the sunset had taken over the sky and was illuminating it with magnificent pink, red, and blue hues. The three of us quickly turned back around and headed towards the beach to capture this marvel!
We took a well-deserved dinner break to fill our tummies and to wait for traffic to subside so we could capture the iconic Venice sign.
Austin and Stephanie were troopers, hanging out with me on this chilly day in Venice, creating beautiful art! I can’t wait for their May, 2014 Santa Barbara wedding!
