Circle Bar B Ranch Wedding | Sarah+David
“Everything and anything is “better when we’re together” (Thanks to Jack Johnson for our processional song). David always makes me laugh, and even though he has a tough exterior, he’s secretly a big softie. He says one of the things he loves most about me is my generosity, caring, and the way I am always doing things for others.”
David and Sarah married at Circle Bar B Guest Ranch in Goleta, perfect for the couple’s rustic-themed wedding (their theme also fell in-line with their
Ellwood Butterfly Preserve engagement session). The intimate setting and the warm weather made for a lovely family-and-friends get-together to celebrate the couple’s love.
From Sarah: “I think Circle Bar B was the perfect venue for us because it was such a relaxed, intimate setting, where we could be surrounded by our closest friends and family for the weekend, not to mention in Santa Barbara, which is hands down our favorite place. Bringing everyone together for a fun weekend was our main goal.”
“There were so many special things included in our wedding, one of which was I definitely had my “old and borrowed” portion covered. I was the 5th of my closest friends/bridesmaids to get married (I was also a bridesmaid for them), so I got a lot of hand-me-down wedding items. The veil and hair piece I wore had been worn by 2 of them first, all of my jewelry had been their wedding jewelry, along with much of the table and other decor. My aunt sent me my grandmother’s ring from Ireland, which my grandmother had given to her on her wedding day. And I loved that I got to wear my cowboy boots!”
David and Sarah’s First Look went off without a hitch! The wedding party was a fun and lively bunch.
Sarah and David included several unique aspects in their Circle Bar B wedding:
“We included a ketubah (Jewish marriage contract) signing after our rehearsal dinner, which both of our dads signed as witnesses, a close long time friend was our officiant,
and our siblings helped us perform the Celtic tradition of handfasting in our ceremony. I love that we were able to include many age old traditions that were so meaningful to us, but also start our married life off with new traditions and hopefully many more to come.”
“I think my favorite part of the day was our “first kiss”. We are unlikely to be found kissing in front of large groups of people 🙂 but when David, after the first 2 kisses said “Just one more” my heart did a little flutter.”
Love, love, love veil shots!!
The bougainvillea flowers were such a pretty backdrop for some romantic photos of the newlyweds at their Circle Bar B Guest Ranch wedding.
“One of our favorite things was our donut cake. Anna’s Bakery’s donuts are the best and also a huge part of our dating relationship. They were delicious for our “cake cutting” and also quite tasty for breakfast the next morning 😉 “
“Rustic, burlap and lace, mason jars and sunflowers could really be our everyday decor!”
“Yet another favorite part of our day was visiting and dancing with friends and family from near and far (Goleta, LA, Ireland and Norway)–some we see all the time and
some we haven’t seen in years. It was really fun to combine our Jewish and Irish family traditions, and my love of country and line dancing (dancing the horah, Irish dancing, and country line dancing all in one night was so fun!).”
“Sometimes we still forget that we are married, since not much has changed, but we love saying “husband and wife” and we can’t wait to make more memories together.”
Congratulations, Sarah and David! Here’s to continuing your adventure together, to celebrating old traditions and creating new ones together!
