Santa Barbara Wedding Portraits | Jenna+Joe

Joe and I went to UCSB together back in the day, and I couldn’t be happier and more ecstatic when he and Jenna told me they were getting married in Santa Barbara! It was a wonderful day-time wedding, held at the Santa Barbara Mission and Canary Hotel Rooftop, and it was such a treat to be a guest.

While the typical Day-After Wedding Session occurs, well, the day after the wedding, Joe+Jenna’s early wedding start-time allowed us to take sunset photos after the festivities, giving us ample time and no stress.

Jenna+Joe wanted to take wedding photos in the typical Santa Barbara locations, so we began with the Santa Barbara Courthouse, and then continued on to Santa Barbara City College’s Winslow Overlook, which has some of the best views of the ocean, beach, pier and mountains of Santa Barbara.

I asked Jenna to share a little about her wedding outfit inspiration…”I wanted something classic that wouldn’t look dated (like you know how an early 2000s wedding gown LOOKS like an early 2000s wedding dress?) but I still wanted to be myself. With my crazy hair I always try to keep everything else elegant and a little retro. Also, I always wanted to wear a birdcage and this seemed like a great excuse!”
