Monica & Robert engagement session at La Arcada in Santa Barbara, CA, was fun and SO passionate (which you’ll see very quickly in the photos).
While it’s a relatively small area, filled with restaurants, galleries, and wine-tasting rooms (perfect for an urban engagement session!), we managed to get a great variety of images, starting with the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, right next door.

So how did the two meet?
“Robert and I first met as children. We were 11 years old and in elementary school together. We have literally remained friends ever since. He was always someone I’d go to talk to about anything. He was my safe place. We grew up, lost contact for a short time but every time we’d speak It’d feel comfortable and like home. ”
When I asked why Monica+Robert chose La Arcada for their engagement session, Monica said it “was a good pick for us because of the architecture and more urban feel. It’s so casual and free feeling. We Loved it! It’s more our style and has so many possibilities!”
