Fun. Unpredictable. Unconventional. Dan + Molly’s beautiful outdoor Ojai wedding was nothing short of those three adjectives and so much more. From our coffee-shop meeting, to our Ojai engagement session, there was no doubt in my mind that Molly + Dan’s big day was going to be as fun, laid-back and full of life as they are.

Molly and Dan decided to switch things up from the typical wedding. Rather than serving dinner in the evening, they served an early dinner prior to the ceremony (with snacks provided later, as well). This setting was absolutely stunning for the late lunch/early dinner (linner). Nestled in between an orange orchard and rows of basil, cauliflower and other herbs and plants, all the while overlooking beautiful mountains, this linner had a down-to-earth and naturey feel.
The catering provided by Lorraine Lim was absolutely delicious–some of the ingredients even came from the venue itself!
After the meal, Molly snuck out to get changed into her wedding dress.
As we were taking photos of Molly in this doorway, one of the flower-girls wanted to join in on the fun 😉
Next, it was time to tie the knot! Dan could not have been more excited to see his beautiful bride!
Molly’s mother and brother walked her down the aisle.
After walking Molly down the aisle, her mother, Posy, gave Molly a hug and hurried back to her seat, forgetting to give Dan a hug!
Tears of joy were abundant at this wedding.
It’s not unusual for people to mispronounce words or forget what it is they have to repeat-after during the vows or ring-exchange. However, this one took the cake! While exchanging rings, Molly had quite the Freudian slip. Rather than promising Dan unconditional love, she promised him unconventional love!

Next came the First Dance inside, which was accompanied by a song written and performed by Molly + Dan’s friends.
